Some of the skiing equipment includes skis, ski bindings, ski boots, poles, a ski bag, and a car ski rack. The Jacket System is two jackets in one, an outer jacket (waterproof-breathable type) and an inner jacket (down type). The legs are kept warm with a Ski Pants or Ski Bib. The bib is better at keeping snow out but the side zip version of pants is easy to pull on over other pants Also, bring an extra pair of socks in case your socks get wet. Gloves or mittens will keep your hands warm. Mittens are warmer, but gloves are earlier to grip with. A ski cap is critical to keep your head warm. Some people use sunglasses with a lanyard, but goggles are better to stay on while skiing.
A day pack is useful to carry your gear while hiking or climbing. On very large mountains or heli-skiing, an avalanche transmitter is important. Hopefully you won't need it, but a first aid kit can be important. A headlamp is useful when camping or the sunsets. GPS, map, and compass are important in finding your way home is important. An ice-axe is good for ice climbing or hiking on glaciers. Pitons are helpful with rock climbing. In addition, RATS (Lowe Ratcheting Aluminum Tube Screws) are also popular for ice climbing.
